The AE-02X pediatric lower limb exoskeleton rehabilitation robot for childrenuses electric motor actuators at the hip and knee joints, designed specifically for paediatric lower-limb rehabilitation. The motor sizing provides controlled force output, compact joint movement, and responsive torque assistance suitable for children’s gait training.

  • Multiple Training Modes:-

The system supports a complete paediatric rehabilitation range, including passive, active-assisted, active/resistance, sports cognition dual-task, walking balance, and range-of-motion training modes.

  1. Passive Mode:-Designed for children with little or no voluntary lower-limb movement. The exoskeleton guides both legs through the gait cycle to provide repetitive walking practice under therapist supervision.
  2. Active-Assisted Mode:-Detects the child’s voluntary movement effort and provides robotic assistance to complete the walking movement. This helps support motor relearning and encourages active participation during therapy.
  3. Active/Resistance Mode:-Provides controlled resistance as the child’s strength improves, helping develop lower-limb muscle control, endurance, and functional walking ability.
  • Sports Cognition Dual-Task Training:-

Combines gait training with cognitive tasks such as visual tracking, reaction-based activities, and game-based challenges to support both motor and cognitive rehabilitation.

  • Body Weight Support Integration:-

The AE-02X can be integrated with body weight support systems to reduce lower-limb loading during gait training. This helps children with weakness or poor balance practise walking more safely and confidently.

  • Fully Adjustable Paediatric Frame:-

The frame can be adjusted according to the child’s body size, including hip height, thigh length, shank length, hip width, and ankle positioning. This allows the system to fit different children and support changes during growth or treatment.

  • Paediatric Safety Architecture:-

The system includes child-focused safety features such as reduced joint torque limits, fall detection, emergency stop access, joint range limiters, and slow-speed default settings for safer paediatric rehabilitation.
