Lower Limb Bedside Active and Passive Trainer (APT-2000E)

SKU APT-2000E

The Bedside Active and Passive Trainer is specially designed for the functional rehabilitation of upper and lower extremities of critically ill patients, stroke, traumatic brain injury, orthopedics and other bedridden patients.

Prolonged bed rest can lead to muscle atrophy, joint stiffness, and decreased circulation. The Bedside Lower Limb Active & Passive Trainer is engineered to combat these complications by bringing high-quality physical therapy directly to the patient’s bedside. Designed for seamless integration into ICUs, nursing homes, and clinical rehab environments, this device offers vital early-stage locomotor training.

Intelligent Dual-Mode Therapy

  • Passive Training Mode: For patients with zero to minimal muscle strength, the motorized system gently guides the lower limbs through a continuous, controlled range of motion. This prevents contractures, reduces spasms, and maintains joint flexibility.

  • Active Training Mode: As patients regain strength, they can actively pedal or push against customizable resistance. The machine's intelligent sensors detect muscle input, seamlessly transitioning between active and passive support to encourage patient participation.

Ergonomic and Patient-Centric Design

The over-bed cantilever arm design allows the system to hover directly over the patient's legs without taking up critical space. Suspended padded leg supports and secure foot straps ensure maximum comfort and safety, preventing pressure sores and ensuring correct anatomical alignment during movement.

Key Features

  • Interactive Touchscreen Interface: A user-friendly digital monitor allows therapists to easily adjust speed, resistance, and therapy duration, while providing real-time feedback on the patient's performance.

  • Adjustable Articulating Arm: The multi-jointed, height-adjustable arm easily positions the training modules perfectly over any standard hospital or ICU bed.

  • Anti-Spasm Technology: Built-in intelligent sensors immediately detect muscle spasms, automatically stopping or reversing the motor to protect the patient from injury.

  • Heavy-Duty Mobile Base: Equipped with secure, locking casters and retractable stabilizing floor grips to ensure the machine remains completely stationary during intense therapy sessions.

  • Emergency Stop Mechanism: A highly visible manual emergency stop button ensures absolute patient safety at all times.
