- Market-Leading Resolution : The VK26's 26-megapixel sensor captures motion detail that simply cannot be resolved by any competing motion capture camera. At the enterprise scale of AAA VFX production and high-precision life sciences research, resolution is not a specification to compromise on: marker identification accuracy, sub-pixel centroid fitting, and the capacity to resolve dense marker sets on complex subjects all depend directly on sensor resolution.
- Speed Across the Range The camera range includes a 26-megapixel model and a high-speed capture mode at up to 2,000 Frames Per Second. Frame rates span 23.976 to 2,000fps — Valkyrie cameras are capable of capturing up to a maximum of 2,000fps, but the actual frame rate depends on the Vicon application software being used. At native full resolution, each model delivers its peak frame rate without windowing — with windowing techniques extending capture to 2,000fps across the range.
- Proprietary Varifocal Lens — Precision from the Optics Up Vicon engineered a bespoke varifocal lens specifically for the Valkyrie sensor architecture — optimising the optical path for retroreflective marker tracking, with a focal length range of 9.4mm to 18.8mm delivering field-of-view coverage from 72° to 54°.
