1. Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) : The SEBT is the most widely researched dynamic balance test in clinical practice — requiring the patient to maintain single-leg stance while reaching as far as possible in multiple directions with the free limb. SEBT reach distances correlate with injury risk, neuromuscular control quality, and postural stability. The MegaMAT™'s 360° measurement lines provide the anterior, posterolateral, and posteromedial directional references required for SEBT administration with centimetre precision, eliminating the measurement tape setup required without a dedicated assessment tool.
2. Y-Balance Test (YBT) The standardised research version of the SEBT — measuring anterior, posteromedial, and posterolateral reach distances in single-leg stance. The YBT composite score and asymmetry indices are among the most widely used predictive tools for lower limb injury risk in athletes. The UQYBT assesses closed-chain upper extremity strength, mobility, and neuromuscular control — used for shoulder injury risk screening, post-surgical upper limb rehabilitation clearance, and athletic pre-participation screening for overhead athletes.
