CURAMOTION EXER III PLUS – Arm and Shoulder Exerciser with Arm support

SKU PT22000

The CURAMOTION EXER III is a professional-grade tabletop arm and shoulder exerciser designed for physiotherapy clinics, hospitals, occupational therapy settings, and home rehabilitation. Unlike wall-mounted shoulder exercisers, the EXER III sits directly on a table or treatment plinth — making it the ideal seated shoulder wheel solution for patients who cannot stand, for bedside rehabilitation, for table-height exercise stations in clinical rooms, and for any setting where wall installation is not possible or preferred.

Combining adjustable handlebar radius, bi-directional arm cranking motion, and an integrated LCD performance computer, the EXER III delivers consistent, measurable shoulder and upper limb therapy for frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), post-surgical shoulder recovery, stroke upper limb rehabilitation, rotator cuff injuries, and general arm and shoulder mobility maintenance — all in a compact, fully assembled, ready-to-use unit weighing just 9 kg.

The EXER III Advantage: Tabletop Format Changes Everything

The defining advantage of the EXER III over the wall-mounted EXER I is its tabletop / freestanding format. This single design choice opens up a range of clinical and practical benefits:

  • No installation required — fully assembled out of the box, placed on any stable surface and ready to use immediately
  • Portable between rooms — move it from clinic room to clinic room, or from the treatment table to a desk, without tools
  • Seated exercise at table height — ideal for patients in wheelchairs, post-operative patients who cannot stand, elderly patients with balance concerns, or any individual who is most comfortable exercising seated at a table
  • Bedside rehabilitation — can be placed on a hospital overbed table or beside-chair table for early-stage inpatient rehabilitation
  • Home use without modification — patients can perform their home exercise programme on their own kitchen or dining table, with no wall drilling or installation

Key Features

Adjustable Handlebar Radius The handlebar radius is manually adjustable to control the arc of circular arm movement, allowing therapists to prescribe a conservatively small range of motion in the early rehabilitation phase and progressively widen it as the patient's shoulder mobility and strength improve. This mirrors evidence-based progressive ROM protocols and is the same adaptive feature found on the wall-mounted EXER I.

Resistance Control Knob An integrated resistance adjustment knob allows the cranking effort to be increased from near-frictionless passive movement — suitable for acute post-injury or post-surgical stages — through to meaningful resistance for active strengthening and endurance training in the maintenance phase.

LCD Computer Display The built-in LCD computer tracks five performance metrics in real time: stride count, strides per minute, time exercised, calories consumed, and an automatic scan mode that cycles through all metrics. These objective measurements support session-to-session progress tracking, patient motivation, and clinical documentation.

Bi-Directional Movement The arm crank rotates in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, engaging the full range of shoulder flexion, extension, and rotational muscle groups symmetrically. Therapists can prescribe directional preferences based on each patient's specific impairment pattern, and the bi-directional capability is particularly valuable for addressing the asymmetric strength profiles common in post-stroke and rotator cuff patients.

Fully Assembled — Ready to Use Unlike the EXER I and EXER II which require wall mounting hardware installation, the EXER III arrives fully assembled and is ready to place on a table and begin therapy immediately. This reduces setup time for clinical staff, eliminates installation costs, and makes the device immediately accessible for home use without professional help.

Anti-Slip Mat Compatible Product images show the EXER III paired with an anti-slip mat to stabilize the unit on smooth table surfaces — an important safety feature ensuring the device remains stationary throughout vigorous arm cranking sessions.

Compact & Lightweight At just 9 kg net weight and dimensions of L70 × D38 × H37 cm, the EXER III is the most compact and portable model in the CURAMOTION wall-mounted and tabletop range — easy to store, transport, and reposition as needed.
